As an international school, our half-day classes are taught in English. Children also learn to speak Mandarin. Kindergarten three-year-olds learn about the world around them, and how to communicate and get along with others in a group setting. With the four-year-olds, phonics, handwriting, and beginning math skills are included. The developmentally appropriate program is internationally based, focusing on developing social and emotional, language, cognitive, thinking, and physical skills preparing them well for the transition to the Elementary School’s program. The children are involved in age-appropriate service learning opportunities and Expected School-wide Learning Results (ESLRs) are developed within the curriculum. Everything is taught from a Biblical worldview perspective.

At ICS Elementary, teachers and administration endeavor to not only build a firm academic foundation, but also to develop resilient Christian character from which students will be prepared to “serve and transform” the 21st century communities they will one day live and work in.
During the middle school years students experience many physical, emotional, and social changes as they transition from childhood to adolescence. Students are learning to deepen their thinking skills, explore who they are, and beginning to test their independence. Here at ICS we view the middle school years as a time of growth and opportunity.
At ICS, students receive a well-rounded education and are required to earn credits in a full range of subjects. Within these parameters, student choice is facilitated and encouraged so that students develop further in their individual areas of interest and strength.

We are committed to building God's Kingdom and integrating faith, learning, and action. We are an evangelical Christian school that uses academic and extracurricular programs to develop the whole student – intellectually, physically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. We affirm the authority of the Bible over all matters of faith, the exclusive Lordship of Jesus Christ and a life of discipleship leading to holiness, witness, and service. There is no contradiction between the truth of revelation and scholarly investigation. A PE class is a special place and there is often little known about what goes on during class. It is a mystery often unsolved by parents and other teachers alike.
The PE department is trying to remove some of the mystery and help parents to be more informed about what goes on in PE and why we do things the way we do. We hope that the website, which will be updated with some new content for elementary, middle and high schools…

Bridges Program (SEN)
The Bridges Program was created in 2010 to provide a quality Christian education to students with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities, adaptive behavioral development, and achievement delays (conditions such as Global Developmental Delay, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Learning Disabilities, etc.) which adversely affect their learning and educational performance to such a degree that they cannot receive a standard course of study.
